Vale John Shears

It is with deep sorrow that we advise that Life Member John Shears, Jimpy to us all, has passed away.

He was the last of the clubs founding members, attending the inaugural meeting in 1952. Jimpy served the club in so many ways over the next 68 years and will be remembered as a kind hearted, true gentleman and as a legend in the truest sense

His great wish was to live long enough “to have a beer in the new clubhouse” but his health did not allow him the pleasure.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Amanda, Jo and Peter.
