A Christmas message from the President

On behalf of myself, the Board and our leadership team, I would like to take this opportunity to wish every member of the Club and your families a very Merry Christmas and a safe, bright and prosperous New Year.

2021 has been another extraordinary year for the Club, dealing with the continued challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic threw upon us at times, whilst also continuing to provide the best Club experience possible to both our members and guests of Anglesea Surf Lifesaving Club. We are so proud to have finally been able to open the doors of our great Club and welcome you all back. We’ve done so much work about the place in preparation for the summer season under the watchful eye of Peter Williams. Pete a heartfelt thanks from all of us…… We literally could not have done this without you.

Membership growth for the 2021/22 season has also been exceptional with the Club almost tipping over the 2000-member mark – Amazing! I hope to speak with as many of you as possible over the Christmas and New Year break.

While the Club remains in a solid financial position, I’d like to remind all members, young and older, that we need your support at out fundraising events. WE NEED YOUR HELP to ensure we can continue to provide a high level of service to the community - I thank all members for their continued support of the Club.

We are looking forward to another successful year for the Club in 2022 with continued improvements planned, including work to the Ray Marsh Room, which will be commencing after Easter.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the experience provided on a daily basis at the Club. Members old and members new, come down to your Club and enjoy all that it has on offer. Have a fabulous Christmas/New Year period and I look forward to seeing you around the Club.
