First Aid & CPR (FA)

Description

Provide First Aid aims to develop the knowledge and skills for a person to manage emergency first aid situations and deliver competent emergency care until the arrival of professional medical support.

This course includes CPR (HLTAID009), Basic Emergency Life Support (HLTAID015) and First Aid (HLTAID009).

​

Course Dates

Provide First Aid course - Wednesday, December 21st from 9am till 3pm approximately.

​

This course is now blended (online theory and face-to-face component) and is a 6.5 hour course.

​

Participants must first register and pay for the First Aid course here.

​

Prior to the commencement of the course participants must complete their Life Saving Victoria course enrolment:

  1. ​Login to https://mt.lsv.com.au/login/ using your SLSA Member Area account login details*

  2. Click on 'Find a New Course'

  3. Look for First Aid at Anglesea SLSC and click 'Enrol'

Pre-Requisites

  • Must be a financial Club member prior to course registration (a Membership Confirmation Form must be uploaded into the online First Aid registration platform).

  • Must be at least 14 years and of age on the date of the final assessment.

Skills Maintenance

The First Aid Certificate is valid for 3 years, after which the course must be completed in full again.

​

The CPR (HLTAID001) needs to be retaken every year to keep this component current.

​​

Assessment

Participants will be required to complete activities that may include role plays, oral and written questioning, practical demonstrations and performing scenarios. This will take place on the final day of the course.
